The visualisation team has completed this week the 2013-2014 season of software Show-and-Tell events at the Atlas Visualisation Facility in RAL; 13 specific visualisation focussed events occurred during the year with 154 attendees. One new project this has led to, via discussion with the Diamond Light Source, the ISIS Neutron Spallation Source and the HIP (Harwell Imaging Partnership), is being project managed by Erica Yang (SCD) to create a dataflow project with CCPi software for a new neutron tomographic-driven diffraction beamline IMAT (Imaging and Materials Science & Engineering). IMAT will offer a combination of imaging and spatially resolved diffraction modes. This project will link data transmission, reconstruction techniques and interaction in a self-contained process for a launch date in 2015.

  • Proposal within EPSRC SLA for funding of role for software selection.
  • Proposal within HIP for funding a visualisation developer.
